Vladimir Putin and the Ukraine Conflict
Vladimir Putin’s chart.
Around the 9th or 10th of April transit Saturn and transit Mars come into a conjunction to opposes his radix midhaven Pluto and south node. 
At the same time the transit Luna Node axis forms a grand cross with these planets. This will be a turning point or an ending to the war. When a grand cross forms by transit there is usually a major crisis, things come to a head, then all areas of Mr Putin’s life marked by the cross will change, one stage at a time afterwards.
The areas in his chart marked out by the cross are his dictatorship, his homeland, and his difficulties, his health and partnerships and alliances. The people around him. Not one of these things will remain the same, within a year.
Natal Chart, Pluto midhaven conjunct south node. Pluto is a dictatorship of the “old kind”. Not the new kind. The south node is past, or history, things that have gone before. Things that could end in the same way. Vladimir’s problem is not his absolute dictator ship, but that his ideas are stuck in the past. The mentality of the world has moved on without him. Pluto is nuclear war. Saturn mars transit is the old style war. Both things of a past generation. Pluto – Saturn the grandfathers time. This is why the western world thinks he is mad, fossilized and cannot comprehend his motive. The chart shows no madness. No delusions. But Pluto has an obsessive fanatical obstinate trait. Blind ambition. It grows stronger when mixed with transit Mars. Regards attack as defence. Health aspects show his mentally will truly only weaken and become frail in the last three years of his life. This is the chart of a domineering controlling man but its not the chart of an insane man.
Transit Saturn and the nodes emphasis the past. Saturn being conjunct the north node, offers a way forward, and the transit nodes can mean mediation. He hasn’t lost his reason, or so the stars say. So there is hope of a peaceful ending. But much depends on the man. And usually with a grand cross, the crisis comes first and is not avoided. Are we all going to be Nuked then? Saturn/Mars suggest a nuclear accident or misjudgement is more likely than a nuclear strike. Pluto/Saturn usually represents redundant or disused nuclear sites, the dead bomb, the defunct power station. The disused, long abandoned, that is still live. That fits with the aspect, so it could pre-empt a crisis. Pluto is power. Nuclear power, personal power. Abuse of power. Collective destiny, collective disaster. Public figures. Pluto itself is not war. Pluto has the ability to transform or obliterate the things it aspects, It can work for good or bad. The natal chart shows in the past he had the power in his hands to transform Russia for the good of all Russians and the rest of the world too, the ability and money to make Russia a great place to live Pluto aspecting north node fourth house, homeland, aspecting his sun Picture that, everywhere in Russia as beautifull and wealthy as St Petersburg, Clean air in Moscow. Money for every village. But he did not do so. Quality of life is what makes a country great, not its military forces. The chart is very much the old outmoded military mind set; weapons, war. Natal chart Pluto trines Mars, Mars house of money, it was this aspect and Pluto south node that has brought us to the present time.
The invasion of Ukraine. Natal Chiron cusp third house. Third house neighbouring territory, Chiron unjust action, triggered by Natal Chiron opposing Vladimir’s sun. A sad progression for all, himself, Putin, included. The beginning of this grand cross star formation. The transit nodes show this time of rulership is ending. Too many errors. We won’t have to wait till Pluto enters Aquarius either. The Saturn Mars transit shows the war ends it. The grand cross brings it to a head in April, new moon conjunct his Pluto, around May, new beginning. Transit Saturn; great ambition, isolation, defence, bad teeth, poor circulation. Heart damage. Blood poisoning, suffocation. Mars – Pluto, war, Dictatorship. Saturn, an old war. Pluto is underground places. So he is probably holed up in a basement, under a royal palace. Which considering the grand cross is not a good place for personal safety. You cant escape from basements or nuclear bunkers. If he were assasinated or overthrown, would it end the rest of the killing ? The aspects are very complex, but I think it would. Death doesn’t look imminent. There is no Uranus aspect, so he need not fear the assassin’s bullet, the two traitors at the elbow, or the poisoned chalice. But he has something to fear in a basement.
However while his days are numbered. I think he survives to see the end of his war. After which his health declines for other reasons. There is so much of the past in this future astrological grand cross aspect, there is a foreboding in it that history must surely repeat in some way. Repeat more than it already has. History proves ideas, weapons, wars, dictators become outmoded and fossilised but unfortunately human folly endures.
