Born Lucky

A new type of toilet known as the Tiger Toilet has been popping up outside homes and schools around India and at the first Reinvented Toilet Expo in Beijing Bill Gates gave his blessing. At first glance this toilet looks like any other pit latrine, but it doesn’t smell like one. No water flush, no drains, as it comes with a built-in population of tiger worms to dispose of the poop. And the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation continue to promote new technology funding universities around the globe to the tune of $200 million.  It is good that he is making  his riches work for those who have little. How did he become so wealthy, Luck? is it all in his stars? Let’s find out.

Bill has the ascendant in Cancer and the ruler of the ascendant in the tenth house. This is a good start, anyone whose ascendant ruler falls in the tenth is going to be career orientated and usually successful. The ruler also happens to be the Moon, which  often gives publicity or fame for ones work. The Moon being in Aries, the “pioneering” sign, as traditional astrologers liked to call it, we know his work, whatever it  entailed, would be at the cutting edge, would bring publicity and would benefit the masses.

Where does Microsoft come in? Bill’s house of money has Uranus  conjunct the cusp. Uranus in astrology rules computers, computer systems, technology, phones, internet. This planet shows how Mr Gates would make  the majority of his money, and most interestingly Uranus forms what is known as a Grand Trine, a rare aspect. It  trines his Tenth House Moon, and his Fifth House Scorpio Sun. The Sun  represents the self, the fifth house is taking  risks. With the Grand Trine such ventures pay off. This makes Bill’s chart a little different and distinctive, that of a rich, successful a man but one who had a destiny to do something new and innovative in the world. He has fulfilled that destiny, and continues to do so, and  reaped his rewards.

The fixed star Castor is rising within a degree of his Ascendant, it is said to give sudden fame and distinction in life, or occasionally loss.  It is a twin star associated with creative energy. It eases the passage of success, with this star there is less struggle and suffering to get anywhere, good fortune abounds. The negative side of the star  puts him in danger of falls or injury from horses, face wounds and deteriorating eyesight. But this is a very auspicious chart.

I am putting the finishing touches to my Astrology and Money book so look out for it, you might find your luck really is in the stars.
